Journey to Natural Expression!
Welcome to Rainbow Hoots Academy where our students mean the most! I'm Margaret Ferrelli the art instructor for both the early learners program and ages 3-5, and I'd like to share our school's mission statement with you. At Rainbow Hoot's Academy we take the humanities and nature very seriously and structure our curriculum around a pusuit of the arts and conservation science. Your child's mind will be stimulated as they explore creative arts, freedom of expression, and the three R's in a hands-on learning experience that will develop independence and cognitive reasoning skills. It is my pleasure to be one of your child's guides on their great adventure in education!
Ages 3 - 5
This week students will watch Balto, and then spend time on projects where they discuss, draw and color images of the events surrounding the heroic sled dogs journey. We will then make a coordinated class wall collage that will stay up until Christmas break. The students will place their work on the wall in the correct order of events, retelling the story. Parents are encouraged to visit the wall during the Winter Open-House so their children can show them Balto's tale.

I will be hosting walk-in parental workshops for one hour after school on the listed days, for any parents who seek to incorporate creative educational activities at home. I will demonstrate some of the latest toddler friendly programmable toys (just in time for the holidays!), creative activities for the family, and discuss local toddler friendly resources.
